Tamil Nadu: Three feared dead in police firing
Chennai: Three people were feared dead in police firing in Paramakudi in Ramanthapuram district in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Reports say the firing took place after a face-off between police and Dalit protestors. The incident happened during Emmanuel Sekaran Memorial celebrations following news that Dalit leader John Pandian was arrested.
The police denied any arrest. Several police vehicles were destroyed and policemen were injured.
